diabetes education classes

Classes will take place at various locations around Cincinnati

Mercy Health - Cincinnati will offer pre-diabetes education classes at different locations around Cincinnati.
Pre-diabetes is a condition that forms before diabetes, according to a press release. It means that a person’s blood sugar levels are higher than normal but aren’t high enough to be diagnosed as diabetes. It is also a warning sign that allows people to take action to prevent or delay the onset of Type 2 diabetes.
Diabetes educators, who are also registered dietitians, teach Mercy Health’s two-hour pre-diabetes education classes. Each class includes information on making healthy food choices, exercise and blood sugar control and monitoring blood sugar levels.
The cost is $20 per class, and is payable in advance with a check or credit card. Call 513-557-7718 to register for classes.
