Doctors Advise Residents to Get Flu Vaccines before the Flu Season Begins

The sooner you get vaccinated, the better results you will have.
Winter months have not arrived yet, but medical experts have already started to prepare themselves for the upcoming influenza cases. Doctors advise residents to get flu vaccines before the flu season begins for better results.
When it comes to health, it is always best to prevent than to cure. This is also valid for simple influenzas which give us many troubles and ruin our winter holidays. Flu vaccines have had good results in the previous years, prompting many more people to resort to them. However, doctors can give several pieces of advices to further boost the effects of the flu vaccine.
The first thing that people should do is to make the flu vaccine as early as possible, right from the very beginning of the autumn months. The flu vaccine may increase influenza chances or side effects if patients have already been slightly infested. For this reason, it is recommended to take the vaccine at the end of the summer when the risks are lower.
Doctors acknowledge that people do not feel the need to get vaccinated when the weather is still hot. Yet they have already started vaccination campaigns to convince people to stay ahead of diseases. This year, residents might be forced to get vaccinated a lot earlier than the previous years because the first cases of influenza have already been confirmed in the U.S.
Most patients think vaccines should be made in October or November, but medical experts explain that the flu season lasts from September until April or even May. The tenth and the eleventh moths of the year represent the peak of the flu season, but risks are present all the time.
Stocks may be limited, another reason why patients should make subscriptions for vaccines as quickly as possible. This year, many more hospitals are making efforts to have private stocks of flu vaccines, so they could respond to all patients’ requests.
There are several other measures that people can take to prevent influenza. The most important rule is to wash their hands as often as possible and to avoid touching their eyes and noses without thoroughly washing them in advance
